Dr. Palmaccio received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and his Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology from Long Island University, C.W. Post College. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine. He subsequently completed a one year General Practice Residency at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital formerly Booth Memorial Hospital followed by his postdoctoral certificate in Periodontics from Temple University, Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry.
Periodontists are dental professionals who specialize in the care of the gums and jaw. Following dental school, periodontists complete an additional three years of specialized education and training. They are uniquely qualified specialists capable of offering the highest standards of care for complex treatment needs. Periodontics includes a wide range of services, from prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Examples of periodontal services include periodontal (gum) disease treatment and dental implant placement.
